The last time I tried in Dec 2000, Harkin had found one upper roller bearing set in a box and sent it to me although they had said they were out of the business even then. I bought the lower bearing, custom made, from Tide, to fit the then newly designed Schumaker rudder built for me by Advanced Composits.

Good luck,

  Hi Folks,

I have decided to get new rudder bearings for Poppy (a Pacific Boats built boat). Following up on previous posts, I checked with both Edson and Tides. Edson, like Harken before it, has gotten out of the bearing business. Tides still does only bushings. Before I make the call to go with bushings, does anyone have any ideas about possible bearing suppliers?
