plans for new ruder, shaft strut

Hello, does anybody have detailed plans for new ruder. I have taken mine out for repair, but don't like design much. It is too swept back, without forward cross balancing section, as can be seen on most modern boats. I think,it may be part of my weather helm problem. Is new ruder more straight down model?There is some play in bushings. Does anybody have experience with removing ruder bushings out of tube(Ericson boat)? There is play btw shaft strut and hull. Inside ,all area is glassed over (see pic), is this normal on Ericson build boat or somebody just went wild, trying to stop little leak. Any infos appreciated. Vlad
