The short is likely at the light. I would open the light and check the connection with a volt meter. Most likely the connections inside the light are corroded. You may have to replace the light fixture. Corroded zippers are standard, but it unlikely you will have to pull wire.

Hello
I'm the owner of Ovation, a 1989 Olson 911 SE. I've recently had a short in the bow lights. Does any one have experience diagnosing the short and fixing it? The zippers on the vinyl liner are shot too. I'm hesitant to clean and unzip for fear of never re-zipping them up.
