Roller furling jib opinions

Hi O911 fleet,

Shanti has a harken roller furler, which came with a cruising-quality high-cut #2. I like the sail shape/power okay, but I'd really like to use the roller for short-handing, but I'd prefer a better sail.

I have a handful of decent headsails (#1, #2, blade), and I was thinking of having one converted for use on the furler. I suppose it's also possible that I'll have a new one built instead.

I know that Bob has just added a new #3 on a roller, so I'm looking for opinions from him and the rest of the fleet:

  1. What is the best and/or most useful sail to put on an O911 roller rig for short- and single-handed racing?
  2. How feasible is it to have a loft convert a used laminate sail for use on roller gear?

Cheers,

Jon
