Greetings and happy Thanksgiving day. The weather out here on the left coast has been fabulous and we're now into the light air season on SF Bay.
>From a racing standpoint the best 911's have left the Bay, with IXXIS and
Redux sold to Monterey area skippers. Unfortunately, too many of the remaining boats are no longer actively campaigned, so our once thriving SF 30 fleet has fallen on hard times.

I sail a 1988 vintage Ericson built boat which is currently out of the water to install some new instrument through hulls. I'm changing out my old Datamarine instruments for Tacktick MicroNet stuff. Sure was fun replacing the heavy mast head unit with a wireless and very light modern unit. I'm mounting the 4 displays (2 single and 2 dual displays) in a very cool carbon mast bracket which simply comes off the mast when the boat is put away.

However, when the boat was hauled there was more than a quarter inch gap between the hull and keel, most pronounced on the aft edge. I can only reach a couple of the keel bolts without tearing up the cabin sole. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, what was the fix. If I have to tear up the sole I'll probably drop the keel and reposition it on the hull because it is not straight or centered. However, I would like to avoid that hassle.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
