In November I requested advice regarding a leaky fuel tank. Thanks to all of you who replied with helpful information. Here is the rest of the story FYI.
Upon removing the tank I determined it had corroded from the inside causing little pin holes in the bottom to leak. I also found the original manufacturers tag. I called Skyline Industries in Utah and was informed they had sold their metal tank division to "All Right Welding", (801)785-6749. I called and was told that they had the blueprints for hundreds of tanks and I would need the original serial #. The number on my tank plate was just too corroded to read. I called Buzz Ballenger who has many of the old Pacific Boats files and he was able to look up the number. I called back and with that information I had a new fuel tank in a week. $294.00 including shipping. If you ever need one the serial # is 44887-00. Thought the above might be helpful.
