Ericson built Olson 911S had solid fiberglass hulls but CORED decks.
The 911S built in 1988 (mine was hull #1 by Ericson, built in June'88) did not have hydraulic backstay adjuster or checkstays, the the later 911SE (which Ericson intended as more of a 'racer' than their version of the 911S) did come with both, I believe.
I have letter from Carl Schumacher listing the Pacific O911S displacement as 7600, and the Ericson 911S as 8250...NOT 1000+ pounds different at all.
