Just a thought for those who are buying new booms or spreaders or other mast
products this spring: economic times are good, there are less shops doing
this sort of work. If you want anything from Ballenger or other spar
manufacturers, it might be worthwhile obtaining a production reservation.
They are booked. Last time I checked it was 4-6 months for a new mast. (in
'91, we got ours in about 3 weeks).
(did you know that Ballenger now supplies upper spreaders two inches shorter than on our older double spreader masts? Sending ours in to be shortened.)
