Season standings through the San Francisco NOOD are up at
http://www.winterlan.net/vmi/o30/99results.html.
Thanks to Paul Martson, who while currently Olson-less is continuing web master duties.
A couple notes about the standings:
First, I assigned scores for the NOOD by discarding boat driven by non-members of the SF Bay fleet and re-scoring each race. I think this is what the fleet intended when this was discussed at the annual meeting and if someone thinks this interpretation is wrong they should talk to me and the fleet officers and we'll try to re-establish consensus.
Second, entering data in these spreadsheets is very error prone, especially when you are worried about how to get to France to start the one year delivery of your new 43 foot Cantana catamaran (sorry, couldn't resist). Please double check your scores and the results.
Third, I've included a seventh throw out even though it shouldn't be counted until one of this Saturday's ODCA races is completed. I think this better reflects the opportunities or lack thereof for a change in standings. Even though the seasons is pretty much locked up, I'm looking forward to another few circuits of the buoys before I hang up my hiking stick. The skippers of any boats that beat Neuromancer this Saturday can have a free weeks use of the guest hull on Thank Larry this winter.
Finally, big thanks to the out of town boats and charterers for putting on a clinic for us locals Labor Day Weekend. I hope you had a great time and will be back next year and in 2001 for Nationals.
