Just another $.02.

For one design racing or 'serious PHRF' racing- I agree to disallow asyms. Especially if there are deck or hull mods to support or extend a pole.

But, for daysailing and beer can stuff especially short handed- I thought I would share with y'all... I picked up a used Melges 24 asym. It fits and works surprisingly well. You can rig it to launch from the companionway and do sets and douses w/o leaving the cockpit.
