My name is Edward S. Hatch III I live in Annapolis MD . I recently purchased an Olsen 30 Hull #pcx301220681. I know one other Olsen 30 (Wave Dancer) racing out of Annapolis and am interested in any contacts in the area if you have any. I am very interested in learning all I can about tuning the rig from experienced Olsen 30 racers( ie forestay length, upper and lower shroud tension)? I have practiced going up wind but as yet I have not been getting what I think the boat is capable of . I would also like to know about the positives and negatives of an inboard engine on speed and handling for racing? My boat was originally an inboard and is now equipped with an outboard is refitting stupid or even reasonable? My sailing experience is limited to older boats with very inflexible masts and single spreaders.Any and all help with my questions will be greatly appreciated !!
