WOW!! This is Great!
Well now, let's see... Bellingham specifics (http://www.cob.org). No sense in me writing to something that someone else has spent a lot of time on.
For those who don't know where Bellingham is, it is North of Seattle about 80 miles / South of Vancouver BC about 50 miles right along the I-5 corridor.
The host will be Bellingham Yacht Club (http://www.byc.org). The main sponsor for the event is Hospice.
Unfortunately the "Sail Racing Schedule" is not updated on the web site, nor is the proper "Race Chairperson" listed. However, the PITCH link on the main page does have some good basic information. This information will be updated on:
The PITCH Regatta (http://www.byc.org/pitch/) is held on the weekend of 9/4-9/5 (Labor Day Weekend). There is a Tune-up Race on the Wednesday prior for those wishing to not sing out of tune...
For those who don't have a team/ride or for those looking for crew email me or Kris and we will start a crew list. I will see what we can do about getting a dynamic crew list on the BYC Web site.
We have two 4000 pound rated cranes (fixed pole, 360 Deg swinging boom, sliding winch) courtesy of Port of Bellingham ( http://www.portofbellingham.com/). One of which is out on the end of the Sawtooth pier, and the other is on the main land. Both cranes are fully capable of lifting boats and setting masts. The area near the entrance to the Harbor has a large parking lot that can be used for parking trailers/trucks.
We will be attending the BYC meeting this (2/10) Wednesday evening and we hope to have the race schedule and other information solidified at that time. When we know more we will send out a update-o-info.
Thanks
Ken/Kris
