Well, it's finally up and running. The SailPix.com machine has been upgraded. This is an all around upgrade. There is MUCH better hardware, MUCH more recent software and a lot of extra tools that I can use to manage this site. Email should continue to flow as always, but if anything is not working correctly, please let me know ASAP.

Things that have changed:

The web archives are enhanced. There is a new format for them. By
default they are broken down into individual years, but you can
still get the entire index too. Also all new messages with
attachments will display in a nicer way. Check them out at
        http://www.SailPix.com/email/

Better anti-spam tools. This still will not get all spam, but it
will help. I have also added two new tools to prevent spammer's
robots from gleaning email addresses from the website. BTW: I see
all the SPAM that gets sent to the lists. I have extensive filters
that block most of the spam, but I still have to peruse that before
deleting it because ocassionally some valid email is thought to be
spam by the filters. I would say that less than 1% of the spam
sent to the lists actually makes it through and is not caught by
the filters. Unfortunately public email lists are very popuylar
        with spammers.

In addition I have remote console support, hardware temperature
monitors and lots of other bells and whistles that are much less
        interesting than sailboats.

Well, that's all. I just wanted to give a heads up so that folks will let me know if anything is awry.

Enjoy

Dave
