We are thinking about adding an autopilot to our J/35 this year to make
short-handed sailing a little easier. We have tiller steering and have never
seen a tiller mounted autopilt. I assume the drive units are removed when
not in use, but want to make sure.
Does anybody have any reccomendations? Raytheon, Simrad, others? Am looking at the Autohelm ST 4000 GP. Disp. probably 12,000 + when cruising.
