Sail Northwest invites the sailing community to an informative and entertaining two-hour seminar and panel discussion featuring Everett Pearson, TPI Composites Production President and founder, and Jono Billings, TPI Special Projects Manager.
Everett and Jono will discuss the latest breakthroughs in fiberglass boat building techniques, engineering and technology. Since Everett Pearson built the first fiberglass production sailboat, TPI Composites, Inc. has become the preeminent leader in fiberglass composite technology.
TPI Composites is the builder of J/Boats, with eleven models from 22 to 53 feet and the Alerion Express, with three models from 19 to 28 feet. In recent years, TPI has also built Jeanneau Lagoon Catamarans (35, 37, 42), Sundeer Ocean Cruisers (56, 60, 64), and Reichel Pugh One-Design 48.
TPI has also recently purchased back the original Pearson Yacht name. In January 2001, Pearson Yachts will introduce the True North 38, a recreational powerboat offering a fresh look at the traditional New England lobster boat.
